3 Steps to keeping you account safe:

Strong password
A strong password is the simplest thing you can do to keep your account safe. Simple passwords such as "qwerty123", "talesrunner", or "fastestever" are far too easy for people to guess or crack through the use of a dictionary style (an attack that uses a program that will simply run through different combinations of words and numbers until it gets the right one) account attack
People generally assume that a strong password is hard to remember. Not true.
An example of a strong, memorable password:
Favorite Show: Friends
Mother/Father¡¯s Birthday: 8/15/55
Favorite Special Character: #
Password: Friends8/15/55#
If there is a limit to how long the password can be shorten what you come up with but maintain its difficulty.
Password (Shortened): Fr81555#
You now have a successful strong password.
Note: Mixing capital and lower case letters (LiKe ThIs) adds to the strength of your password.
Note: You can use special characters in your password. (eg: ~!@#$%^&*)
Do Not Share Your Account
This is the best way you can protect your account. Sadly, most players fail when it comes to this. There are many people that will become friends with you simply to gain access to your account and it is not rare for a close friend or family member to help themselves to items that you¡¯ve worked for. Remember, account sharing is against the gPotato Terms of Service and if you are caught, you will be banned.
Q: What if my sibling/best friend/girlfriend/guildmate wants to use my account real quick?
A: Tell them no. Sharing your account not only puts your items/reputation at risk it could get you banned for good.
Q: What could happen if I do share my account?
A: Anyone who has access to your account could:
Q: If I do share my account and something bad happens to my account, can I expect to be helped?
